Bobbi Brown Rich lip color Plum Rose review, swatches!

My take on Plum rose : I really love Rosy nudes so this was a 5 minute buy. Since that day, this has been my most used lipstick. It is extremely creamy and also really pigmented. The finish is quite opaque and even one swipe imparts a lot of color. My lips are mauvey so it looks more berry-ish on me but on some girls , it looks more brown. Although , it doesn’t last very long and does not leave a stain. It is really light

MAC Matte lipstick Candy Yum Yum Review, Swatches!

MAC Matte lipstick Candy Yum Yum

So the other day I was arranging my stash and came across this gem. A couple months back I had a phase where I was picking up the brightest lip colors I could find… How many times I wore them is a different story now. Candy yum yum is possibly the brightest neon-ish shade I own. MAC describes it as NEON PINK. Has anyone tried if it glows in the dark? It is a beautiful bright shade which in my opinion will suit mostly tanned and darker skin tones. It brings out the dark tones in such a beautiful way. If JLo ever decides to venture out, she will rock the hell out of this s

MAC satin lipstick Del Rio review, swatches!

MAC satin lipstick Del Rio

Color-wise, It’s a rich plum with brown undertones, and packs quite the punch. MAC calls it plum-brown but I think the undertones are more of a mahogany than a plum brown. This color goes with a lot of Indian skin tones so it’s a cult fav of makeup artists in India/Gulf countries. I won’t say it’s my favourite or sing praises about it. But I would say, I was bowled by how creamy and soft it feels. I love applying it on me. Not to mention the pigmentation. While I was applying it today, I was reminded how much I love MAC lip products. This is my sophisticated lip color btw. I mostly wear it with formal clothes, Indian dresses & I’m sure it will look fabulous on sarees. Most of the times I just dab it on my lips and blend with my finger. Here I’ve full on applied it from the tube! It stays for about 4hrs on me after which it leaves behind a lovely stain. And it does not transfer much on the coffee cups ;) I also tone it down by layering it with a lighter gloss. Honestly, If you want to give your mom/aunty/elder lady a MAC lippie- do try del Rio. And I’m definitely getting more from the

MAC AMPLIFIED LIPSTICK UP THE AMP REVIEW, PHOTOS, SWATCHES!

Before I went on my vacation to Yellowstone (which was like being in a postcard), I wanted to get a MAC lipstick pretty bad - just coz! Also coz I just had finished one. Coz you see, one can never have too many MAC lipsticks. I gave away some and finished some so I don’t even have 5 now - that is not good news! So, long story short, I asked on twitter (HERE) whether I should buy plumful or Up the amp and a lot of my twitties said I should go for the purple. And here we are!!!! I lost my other lipstick in a hotel room so all week this was the only lipstick I wore and so far, I like how it behaves :D MAC Up the Amp Lipstick ($16) is described on the MAC website as a "lavender violet". It is a really pretty pinkinsh-violetish-lavenderish which is a little milky so it looks great on all skin tones - Especially olive tones!

YSL Baby Doll Kiss and Blush in 03 Rose Libre – Photos, Swatches

YSL Baby Doll Kiss and Blush in 03 Rose Libre - $40

My take on 03 Rose Libre : I wanted to get a brighter color but I mostly wear n*de shades so I settled on this one. This one was the perfect pink toned nearly MLBB for me. Color wise it is a lovely Salmon pink. Rose Libre is a perfect name for it! If you’re a friends fanatic like me, do you remember that scene when Ross hides in his ex’s flat to find his “Salmon shirt” - this reminded me of that- LOL! Packaging wise, it has a small square glass bottle and long cylindrical cap. The good thing about the size it that I’ll be able to finish the product. The firm velveteen sponge-tip applicator has a tear drop shape which makes application really easy. To talk about the texture, it is more like a cream and blends beautifully on the lips. The feel on the lips is neither shiny or matte. It has great pigmentation too. Although the brush makes it apply a bit sheer, it is really buildable. It will perform beautifully on women with darker complexion AND dry skin. I tried to apply on my cheeks (using both fingers and the Real Techniques expert face brush) but on my oily skin it literally evaporates within 2 hours. I’m going to continue using it as a lip creme. This range is great for elderly women too as it doesn’t feather or bleed beyond the lip
