I have a special affinity for the color green. The tree green I mean… not parrot green or neon.. pure gourd green. I think Islands when I see this… and for some weird reason… green really calms me down. If I were a monkey, I’d make my home on the lushest and the greenest available tree.
But too bad I haven’t been so lucky with the color green in my wardrobe… I dyed a top to my desired green and it got burned while ironing, I found one sexy strappy pair of green sandals and they somehow snapped. Also, it has been a very very long time that I’m searching for the nice bright gourdy green which won’t burn a hole in my already shallow wallet.. And in one such search, I got this guy
MAC Jade Way is a dark teal with a softly blackened teal base. MAC says it’s pure emerald green with frost. [I should really read things before ordering- it clearly said emerald!]
Cost- $15 online and at all MAC stores.
My Experience with Jadeway: I have used graphblack [reviewed here] from this range and I’m really happy with them. This one was bought just for the green factor. Mac also says and it’s really true A mechanical pencil-style liner. In formula, soft and creamy, with an intense, rich, colour deposit. Blends on application: dries quickly to a long-wear, non-smudge finish. Versatile. An easy way to line the top and lower lash line of the eye. When applied at a 90 degree angle, provides a thin precision line. For thicker application, apply at a flat angle.
It is great on the waterline too. and stays put for a long time. This range offers great color selection too.
- has a soft and creamy texture
- glides on easily
- it really stays long
- Has a hint of shimmer.
- did not irritate my eyes unlike some liners.
- This is not my green. But it;s not the liner’s fault.
- This one is a little fragile.
Verdict: The formulation is great for this liner but it didn’t really appeal to me. Just coz this is not the green I was looking for… You see, He is great, but there’s just no chemistry between us. So i have to break up with him!
