I was so excited when I saw the initial promotion of this collection. Really, did you see the packaging! It has water droplets and is all aqua-minty (Just like Benedict Cumberbatch’s eyes *drool*) I wanted to get the initial Extra dimension stuff when it came out a year back but I missed it and this time I specially went to the mall just to get the Delphic bronzer and some other stuff from the collection. Well, it did help that it was my anniversary and I also wanted to get my brows done at the Benefit Brow bar.
MAC says : MAC Sea Me Hear Me Extra Dimension Blush is one of two, limited edition blushes that launched with the MAC Alluring Aquatics Summer 2014 Collection. It is described as a “beige pink.” It’s a muted, warm-toned coral with a satiny sheen.
Cost : $27.50 for 0.22 oz.
My take on Sea Me Hear Me : I bought this blush clearly on a whim. Usually I don’t do that but the last 2 blushes I got were purely out of love for MAC. hehehe. This one is a nice rosy pink with a subtle hint of shimmer.I would describe it as a rose pink with beige undertones. Although, I did not find anything shimmering on my cheeks. The pigmentation is decent and on the light side but very very buildable. This is good for me because sometimes I do my makeup in the car(When the hubs drives) and can go overboard. The finish of the blush gives the cheeks a slight sheen but I do not find it to accentuate my large pores – which again is a bonus for me. The staying power is excellent and even on my oily skin, which I blot a lot with tissues & sheets, it stays for more than 5 hours. I did have my doubts about this before since it looks really similar to the Delphic bronzer on me (which I’ll review soon), but I’ve come around to like it now. This is the kind of a blush shade that I’d wear when I’m not sure what outfit I’m wearing but still want my face to complement it 😀
Verdict : This is a decent shade & MAC has surely hit a jackpot with this range. I give it 3/5
