Hey pretty peeps…. its a new week and hopefully this week is short. What did you guys do for thanksgiving? We visited Orlando and its such a yayy-worthy place :DThis post was long due but I wanted to test the product completely on my skin before recommending it -if you know what I mean! I have a combo-oily skin and sometimes -especially during these dry windy days my skin flakes out in places and is oily in other places… even right now my skin is all patchy – near my nose, chin etc
When I was ordering from Liz Earle, I spoke to Louise and expressed my concerns about the irregularity of my skin. Also that i wanted to start an anti-aging regime -she suggested this cream and I trusted her.
When it arrived I was so impressed with the packaging- I mean -look at it!!! and it was packed so well… It also contained a book of all Liz earle Products which are damn impressive too

Step 3: Using the thumb and ring finger gently pinch along the brow bone from the nose to the outer edge of the brow.
Step 4: Finish by gently sweeping your hands up the neck and over the décolletage.
My Experience with the product: Honestly, when I received it, After the excitement subsided I saw that the product was for dry/matured skin and i was a bit disappointed . I even thought I’d send it over to mom But still the packaging and the cream looked so inviting that I had to try it out So I did at night and followed the instructions on how to apply it- my skin absorbed it immediately and felt nice and supple. but when I got up in the morning I saw a sheen of oil/moisture on my face… feeling a bit sad I kept it in my drawer again thinking that I’ll use it in winters…. from the past week now that its getting cold- my skin started flaking and getting red. So I tried buffing it with a light scrub and then in the steam-filled bathroom, applied the moisturizer as instructed above- I swear to God- It just melted in my skin – my skin felt so soft and supple and all the flakes were subsided (not gone) in the 1st use itself. I still waited for a couple of hours and well, no shine some redness was still there but no shine- it sunk in so well and the massage helped me relax more.
- The do not test on animals.
- The moisturizer sinks into the skin so no thick-creamy feeling on the skin.
- Takes care of flaky skin and adds suppleness.
- No odor/smell.
- I felt my skin looked more toned.
- Availability-> its available only online or on QVC.
- I read some people saying its too thick for them: but seriously, it says its for dry skin and it clearly meant that its more moisturizing and is thicker than the average moisturizer. So acne prone beauties should probably stay away .
what I do is I apply it on the dry parts and I apply the normal one on the probable oily parts.. these days I just apply it all over because I’m having a bit of redness and flaky cheeks…
Seriously, i look flushed all the time
Overall Verdict: I totally recommend it. Dry skinners should use it all the time and oily skins like me – in winters or on those days when skin is partly flaky The skin really needs to get its moisture or it leads to a lot of other problems- tried and tested

Which brush set is your favorite?
I have been searching for a good Tinted moisturizer (TM) for about 5-6 years now…. When I was in college there was a lot of roaming around in the sun and a normal moisturizer just wouldn’t suffice. The sunscreen was a dreaded word as I had a very oily hyper acne prone skin. When I started working , It was the same old story. A normal moisturizer wasn’t enough and applying a foundation everyday was also not a good option. I always was on a lookout for something in-between and after using a couple of duds and many many years of mixing 1 part foundation and 2 parts moisturizer (which is not always successful) – I finally found this
On my birthday I went to Macy’s to get a couple of “goodies” and hubby took me to the Bobby Brown counter and the SA swatched some TMs on me but I felt it to be a bit oily and the shades didn’t quite match so she took us to the opposite counter The Laura Mercier one.. and after swatching a couple of shades we finalized on the “BISQUE” (for light neutral complexions with balance of yellow and pink undertones)
About the product: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight formula with a hint of color you can use in place of foundation for a natural finish and a healthy glowing complexion. It contains a SPF 20 for the ultimate in anti-aging prevention.Size: 1.5 oz
: 42$ + Tax
My Experience with the product
: I am using this product since about 3 months now and I am very happy with it.
It just matches my skin so well and seeps inside so there is no cakey residue or crinkling around the nose or mouth.. Also, it does not settle in the fine lines and spreads evenly. I use a stippling brush to apply this. I just dot my face with this and spread with the stippling brush. I re-apply sometimes on my cheeks or near my nose if I have some redness but one application is enough. It gives a nice dewy finish so on my good-skin days I don’t even apply a powder on top. but Ideally I do dab a bit of some pressed powder. Just gives a nice even finish. Make sure that you use a finishing powder to set your look though. Otherwise this will just feel moist all day.
And these are some of the pics in which I wore this:
So, summing it up:
- Great for everyday use.
- Provides a light-medium coverage.
- Spreads evenly.
- Wide array of shades.
- Sinks into the skin nicely but doesn’t settle in the fine lines.
- Gives a very natural even finish.
- Has SPF20.
- Dermatologist tested.
- Very expensive at almost 45$ with tax.
- Not for people who want a heavy coverage.( I can sometimes see some of my open pores)
- Doesn’t give a matte finish – so if you roam out in the sun for long you might get oily
- I have heard from some people that a BB cream works the same way.
Verdict: It IS a great T M and works great but is it realy worth spending 45$? I don’t think so. I would think 10 times before buying this next or rather try a BB cream…
So which Tinted moisturizer do you like?
Hey chicas… hope everyone is doing great- Thank you all so much for an amazing response on my giveaway. If you guys haven’t entered yet you can do so HERE – time is running by
The fall is greatly reflected in the street fashion I see everyday and there are a few which are really eye-catching and intriguing at the same time… Some are fab and some are rightly outrageous…. LOL
The one trend I am loving these days is the animal printed tights and leggings. Oh-My-Gawd they look so awesome- seriously!!!! Who says winters have to make you look like a marshmallow? These are some of the ways you could look from drab to fab even with those huge chunky knits and boring blacks and grays of the winter coats…. From runways to celebs to the streets, Here are some of my picks….
Hope you all liked the post and the trend… My fav is the way Hillary Duff is wearing it and the chick above this
So which one is your fav??
